Kaycee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a background in counseling with many different populations. She graduated NAU in 2011 and began her career working with birth to five children and their families in community mental health. Several years later, while still working in the field, she attended ASU and graduated with her Masters in Social Work in 2016.
In 2018, she began working in inpatient behavioral health where she did counseling with children, families, and adults. The inpatient setting allowed for her to witness and support folks who struggled with many diagnoses and treatment needs. Some mental health struggles she encountered were severe depression, substance use/alcoholism, anxiety, and trauma related disorders.
Kaycee draws on many different modalities of therapy including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, person-centered, systematic theories, and trauma informed practices. Kaycee describes her style of counseling as focused on creating a warm and safe environment so she can assist individuals to find their full potential. She believes that talk therapy should feel comfortable, non-judgmental, and centered on each person’s specifically defined needs.
In addition to her therapy career, she has three wonderful children who keep her busy. She is also very grateful to call the mountain town of Flagstaff her home.
Kaycee is currently taking new clients for private pay, and some insurances. She is credentialed with UMR/United and BCBS. She is willing to see clients in person or via telemed.
